Mark 10:13-16
The Little Children and Jesus
13People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. 14When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." 16And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.
Matthew 6:31-34
Seek God First
31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Deuteronomy 4:29-31
Seek The LORD
29 But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. 30 When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the Lord your God and obey him. 31 For the Lord your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your ancestors, which he confirmed to them by oath.
I think God starts our seeking process for Him when we are young children...I am not sure we can seek anything without have questions for what we are seeking...Young children love to ask questions about their curiosity in searching and seeking about the newest things to them in the world...Some, if not many young children, can ask question after question as they seek to broaden the new and expanding horizons of their mind...In their questions, they seek answers to many things...
We seem to lose some of our trust and our children-like instincts as we age in life...Do you ever worry about a job or your job, a house to buy, a problem that came up in your life and had to make a decision on it, and seek the LORD for His advice?...Or did you just make that decision on your own?...We don't not know as adults how many of our decisions will turn out -and it is best to have God involved in all your decisions...There once was a time -years earlier in your life, when you could not make decisions like that, but you did not concern yourself with those problems, the answers or these decisions with worry...You were completely dependent on loving ones for help, protection, and guidance...
Jesus shows us that God loves little children, by teaching us not to hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to them...Anyone who will not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it...The children, who are asking all these questions, even though they are seeking answers to many things they won't (many times) even understand -when they hear the correct answer...For a little child is completely dependent on their parents for what they eat, what they drink, and what they wear...But they do not worry over those kinds of things...They have faith that their parents will supply those things for them...The instincts God gave babies and children are instincts of trust...Children instinctively run to their parents they love, when they are hurt or frightened...God has created children to trust their parents and to look for guidance and protection as they are growing up...God who is our heavenly Father should be trusted and perceived the very way we saw our parents and our own father...We must trust that He will take care of us like our/your parents took care of you when you were young...
