Mark 10:17-27
27 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”
Matthew 5:43-48
Love for Enemies
43 "You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' 44 But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
1 Peter 2:20-25
Jesus Committed No Sins on Earth
20 But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. 21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
22 “He committed no sin,
and no deceit was found in his mouth.”
23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. 24 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” 25 For “you were like sheep going astray,” but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
Matthew 4:1-11
Jesus was Tempted by the Devil in the Wilderness
1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
“‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’”
7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”
8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’”
11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.
The attribute of morality is a very important one and morality comes from God...From the start of mankind, God has put the essence of good morality in us, and we can look around and feel and see people and countries that are not moral...God set this morality standard for us to follow...And we know when we have done something bad or see something being done that is bad...There is this Essence of Morality in us, and it comes from God...It is like one of His Natural Laws He gave us when He created the heavens and the earth...So God many, many years ago shows us that He is a moral God by giving Moses the Ten Commandments for the world to share and to learn...Jesus says that God is Perfect, and Only God is Good...So there is a great importance to being Perfect Moral and one being Perfectly in Morality, and in being a Perfect and Good Person...Perfect Morality maybe similar to Divinity, or it maybe Divinity...We might also say that God is Absolutely Moral...God is the Perfectly Moral Spirit and Being...
Jesus was given free will by God and remained sinless...He was a Morally Perfect Person...And a Morally Perfect Person had and has never walked the earth, except for Jesus (when He walked among us)...Those who knew Him said He had no sin, and did not commit a sin while He walked the earth, and He was tested in the wilderness by the devil...And despite being tested by the evil one himself, Jesus never sinned...And in the desert for forty days and forty nights, He did not sin, although He was greatly tested...Jesus, of course, is worthy of being praised and worshipped for what He did on earth...
Now some people believe God can do anything, and He could create a man who is given free will and can go about his life being sin free...If God did do that, that man would be much admired and be close to God...Philosopher and author, William Lane Craig was asked if God could create a morally perfect person, who still has his free will...His answer was this...Craig thought about just saying "no", and that would be the end of that question...By Craig furthers his answer by saying, "But to expand a bit, I think that a morally perfect being with free will is possible...That’s what God is...Libertarian freedom does not require the ability to do the opposite, in this case to sin, but simply that the choice be up to you in the absence of causal determination...For the same reason Jesus freely resisted temptation even though it was impossible for Him to succumb...But my scepticism lodges in the fact that I don’t see how God could create a morally perfect being...A morally perfect being would fully approximate the divine nature..He would be worthy of worship...Therefore He would be God...But God is, necessarily, uncreatable...He exists necessarily a se...So God could not create another God, a replica, as it were, of Himself."...
