Rahma Muhammad Mian is a somatic healer and yoga teacher. Rahma’s trauma and chronic pain informed body and breathwork practice is grounded in her Vipassana and Metta practice. Beginning in 2015, she has sat Vipassana retreats in Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, Burma and US, learning from monastics and teachers rooted in the Theravadan tradition. She is trained in Ihsaas, a trauma-informed, somatic healing program designed primarily for Muslim women as well as western trauma and somatic focused trainings like integrated rest (iRest) and core awareness with Liz Koch. Rahma also trained in Hatha yoga in South India and is a registered (RYT-200) teacher with Yoga Alliance. She also practices Qi Gong and Reiki.
An active part of the local wellness and Vipassana community, Rahma along with other mindfulness practitioners and teachers have been organizing the Karachi Sangha since 2018, and the Karachi Wellness Festival since 2022.

Session Description
A mindful hatha yoga class aimed at building a gentle awareness of your body, breath, sensations, and self. The Pali word metta means loving-kindness, friendliness, and non-violence. In cultivating a kind and loving understanding of our body, mind, and heart, we learn to take better care of ourselves and become more responsive to the needs of those around us.
