Ahh shadow warriors, my first warband. How much fun are these?
I understand they get a lot of hate, and I can see how that can happen, but at the end of the day they are still T3 elves, and reliant on the player being a jerk for them to become hated.
This warband was so much fun. It all started when the Eltharion the Blind model came out. He became the key figure in the warband, mainly because he refused to die. He ended up blinded in one eye and frenzy (which combined with his sprint meant he often ended up very alone).
The last roster I can find has him with has the following:
WS5, BS3, S3, T3, W1, I5, A3, Ld8
Ithilmar Armour and Greatsword.
Sprint, Strike to Injure
Horrible scars, nervous condition, blinded in one eye (perfect!), minor arm wound, frenzied.
Mordheim is rather dangerous for me, once I start a warband, there's a very good chance I go on to create an army around it too. This was my first time discovering that wonderful rabbit hole. After playing shadow warriors for a while I went on to start a Nagarythe themed army. The army was again centred around Eltharion, but this time it was the amazing story in WD where he invaded Naggaroth. The story was epic, and showed to me the High Elves being an agressive force that can still become lost to emotion. So often they are seen as the defending force, the elite but small army always on the back foot.
I'm a bit lost with that high elf army now, and want to push it away from Nagarythe and towards the misty realm of Tor Yvresse, but I haven't had much inspiration to work on them lately.
