Following Lufgt Huron’s defection, the remaining Astral Claws loyal to the Emperor began treating with Administratum. With the tyranny of space and bureaucrats as they are, the force of Marines sent to end Huron’s rebellion was unsympathetic to the loyalists' cries. Using Huron’s flight into the Maelstrom and ex-communication as a cover, Master of the Forge, Tyluin Gadrio, fought his way clear of the suppressing forces and fled the system in the battle barge Decimus Bellus.
With the Chapter having been a fleet-based chapter since almost its inception, Tyluin Gadrio took them to their unremembered Chapter World of Dhenogris Delta. Only Librarian Greneon Astor remembered this planet being their original homeworld, and the hope was that not many others within the Administratum would remember until the loyal Astral Claws were able to clear their record and prove their loyalty to the Imperium.
The homeworld of Dhenogris Delta remembers little of their role in the history of the Astral Claws chapter. All that is known is that a generation of young men was wiped from the planet over 5 millennia ago. Since then the planet has grown slowly but thrived to become a stable, loyal, urban planet. Tucked away in a little traversed system, Dhenogris Delta has been able to progress at a sustainable rate.

My Astral Claws, like 99% of my armies are very much a Work in Progress. The plan was a heavy gunline army, lots of devastators, tactical marines in rhinos to go out and do what needs doing/capturing and then the Vets to be my swiss army knives.
I didn't play many games with them in the end, always preferring other armies, but still liked knowing I had these guys ready to go when I needed them for bigger games.
