So I finally made the leap into Star Wars Legion. I'd been thinking about it for aaaages and never been game enough to pull the trigger. I'm not sure what did it for me in the end, perhaps it was sleep deprivation, perhaps it was blindly scrolling at midnight while dream feeding the baby. Anyway, damage is done now, I'm knee-deep in Clone Wars.
I've set up a separate page to chart the progress of the Clone Wars on our tabletops. The plan is to have a few players each with their own Clone legion, and then we pool together the separatists to be our enemy. When we play, we select one of the battleground systems, play a game in there and have a swinging meter of which side is in control there.
Hopefully there's enough variety to have different legions feel different enough. I've come up with a way of creating our own Jedi. By pooling all the upgrades etc available for current jedi in the game I've come up with a real rough 'Create a Jedi' form. At the moment we've got Kit Fisto and Plo Koon with models from various shapeways stores.
We've only had a couple of games to get used to the rules set so far, so hopefully once we get our heads around it, we'll well and truly get stuck in
As for terrain, I'd really love a full Star Wars themed table, but I really should try and make do with the terrain sets I've got. These include:
Martian landscape industrial
Snow board with rock pillars and woods
Medieval City
Jungle ruins terrain
Fantasy farming village
Fantasy graveyard
