Side Quests
Side quests are fun minor quests that are posted on noticeboards in towns. They are prompts for art and stories that usually have less detail and context than main campaign quests, allowing for more creative freedom in interpreting them.
Your character can only take on side quests for the level they are currently at, and below.
Your character can team up with other characters for side quests, and the reward rules will be the same as usual quest art submission standards.
All side quests net a reward of 100 fairy gold. π°
π Corn Maze: The Enchanted Corn Maze is a beloved annual attraction in the Autumn Court, known for its ever-changing paths and whimsical challenges. However, this year, something unusual is happening. The maze has taken on a life of its own, with magical hedges shifting unpredictably and creating new routes. Visitors have become lost, and the town is asking for help to find out whats happening. Reward: 100 fairy gold π°
π Walking Gourds: A group of pumpkins in a secluded patch of the Autumn Court has come to life, gaining sentience and a penchant for mischief. They've grown vine legs and have run away from their original spots, and are causing chaos. Reward: 100 fairy gold π°
π Harvest Moon: The harvest moon feast is approaching, but the chef has run out of the most important ingredient: giant toadstool! There might be some in the woodland near by, but you might have to barter with the creatures of the forest to trade for it. Reward: 100 fairy gold π°
π Ticket Master: The ticket clerk at the Train Station has rung in sick and they desperately need a replacement. Jump in and help out. What kinds of travellers do you meet during your work day? Reward: 100 fairy gold π°
π Rats in the Cellar: An innkeeper in Mjornheim will pay handsomely for you to clear rats from the brewery basement. Is it just me or are these rats bigger than usual, and strangely organised? Reward: 100 fairy gold π°
π Harvest Market: Someone has been selling cursed pumpkin pies at the Harvest Market. Go undercover and try to catch the culprit. Reward: 100 fairy gold π°
π Unfinished Business: Help a peaceful ghost from the Crypt complete some unfinished business. They want you to deliver a letter to a loved one. Reward: 100 fairy gold π°
π Scarecrow Strike: The scarecrows in Solsund have gone on strike to bargain for better working conditions. Take their place in the fields until their strike is over, or join their peaceful demonstration. Reward: 100 fairy gold π°
π A Murder of One: You've discovered an injured messenger crow. Escort the bird back to its master in Vargheim and see if you can get a reward. Be careful - whatever injured the bird may be back to try and finish the job. Reward: 100 fairy gold π°
π Lord of the Red Forest: Get your prophecy told by Oberon, Lord of Trees. What does he tell you? Reward: 100 fairy gold π°
π Dire Owl: The Aviary in Vargheim has one of the largest owls youβve ever seen - and theyβre taking volunteers to help train it! Help to feed, befriend, and learn about the creature! It has a wingspan of at least six feet, and is still growing. Reward: 100 fairy gold π°
π A Pint or Three: Itβs Oktoberfest in Dagfinn! Everyone is making merry with a pint and playing games, winning prizes, dancing, you name it! You thought you saw some giant pretzels on a nearby cart... Reward: 100 fairy gold π°
π Suspicion: While visiting the Watchtower, you notice a strange figure around sunset. They look almost blurry, as if by magic. The guards seem to be otherwise occupiedβ¦ so it may be up to you to follow them. Reward: 100 fairy gold π°
π Pitfall: Some local Historians have hired you to help take them through some ancient ruins for research, needing an adventurer to keep them safe. Theyβd like a reconnaissance mission beforehand to find and note any traps, and to help them through as a guide afterwards. Reward: 100 fairy gold π°
π Lyre & Flute: A local folk band is playing at the Ampitheatre - why donβt you check it out? Reward: 100 fairy gold π°
π Bull in a Potion Shop: While shopping in Thornholm, you accidentally bump into a shelf full of potions, causing a myriad of magical effects! The potions that didnβt break now have their labels all mixed up, and the shopkeeper is distraught! Reward: 100 fairy gold π°
π Inn at the End of the Road: IWhile on a job for the Guild, you get hopelessly lost amongst the fog and completely lose your bearings. You eventually find yourself at a mysterious buildingβ¦ the Inn at the End of the Road. Do you dare go inside? Or try your luck at finding the road on your own again? Reward: 100 fairy gold π°
π The Bee's Knees: The local Meadery in Mjornheim needs an extra special type of honey for their most recent batch, a commission for Aoife. They need you to go to the Singing Woods, NamhraΓn, and find a giant beeβs nest to get some. Do you sneak in and steal some? Or do you try to negotiate? Reward: 100 fairy gold π°
π Ring of Inkcaps: They say in Rosenfjell, thereβs a strange fairy circle that leads to somewhere unknown, and most folks try to stay away for fear of where it may leadβ¦ Reward: 100 fairy gold π°
π Mushroom Mayhem: After a holiday celebration in Sigtun, your intrusive thoughts get the better of you and you decide to jump on a giant mushroomβ¦ only to find it bounces you like a trampoline, launching you into the air! Reward: 100 fairy gold π°
