Folkland has a basic stat, level, and class system that is used primarily for flavour and to reward active members with extra content.This system is loosely based on DnD.
🍄 Statistics and their Attributes
There are 8 stats to choose from in Folkland, 4 of them being martial stats (strength, fortitude, dexterity, speed), and 4 being magic stats (willpower, magic, intelligence, charisma).
Below details the attributes that these stats effect:
Strength: Raw strength, physical damage output, melee weapon proficiency.
Fortitude: Hitpoints, poison resistance, defence, stamina.
Dexterity: Long range weapon proficiency, tool handling, agility.
Speed: Raw speed and movement.
Willpower: Charm resistance, recovery, spell efficiency.
Magic: Magic and spell proficiency, mana points, magic damage output.
Intelligence: Solving puzzles, strategy, information recall, decision making, spellcasting accuracy.
Charisma: Persuasion or deception, performance proficiency.
Racial Bonuses
Each playable race provides a racial bonus as well. You get to add a +1 on your stat wheel that counts towards your maximum stat points per level.
High Fae +1 to MAGIC
Fairies +1 to CHARISMA
Sprites +1 to SPEED
Critters +1 to INTELLIGENCE
Wildlings +1 to STRENGTH OR SPEED
Arachnus +1 to DEXTERITY
Stonefolk +1 to FORTITUDE
Fishfolk +1 to STRENGTH
Dryads +1 to WILLPOWER
Selkies +1 to SPEED
Craith +1 to DEXTERITY
Floran +1 to INTELLIGENCE
Nymph +1 to CHARISMA
Polypores +1 to WILLPOWER
Harpies +1 to SPEED or STRENGTH
Strzyga +1 to FORTITUDE
Upgrading Statistics
Increasing your stats costs 200 fairy gold per +1 to a stat.
You are limited to a stat cap maximum per level. More on levels on the next page.
