Side quests are fun minor quests unrelated to the main campaign. They are prompts for art and stories that usually have less detail and context than main campaign quests, allowing for more creative freedom in interpreting them.
Your character can only take on side quests for the level they are currently at, or below (unless stated otherwise).
Generally, your character may be able to team up with other characters for side quests, and the rewards will work the same as the usual quest art submission standards.
Part of your duties as a member of the Guild of Heroes is tracking down and aprehending dangerous criminals. Various courts and agencies will post bounties for criminals, and hire a hero to arrest them. The danger level of each bounty ranges from public nuisances to potential threats to the safety or security of the realm.
Bounties must be taken with teammates. The number of teammates you need, and the classes you need to deal with the threat will be written in the bounty request.
Class side quests are important to the development of your character, although they can be completed at any time. They detail your progression in your chosen class, and often unlock special rewards such as spells or weapons, ingredients, items, titles, lands and more.
Some class quests can only be done when you reach a certain level. Check each class side quest page for more information.
Duchy side quests are requests posted in noticeboards in your home Duchy. The Guild of Heroes can take quests from any citizen of Folkland.
Holiday side quests are themed holiday events that usually occur annually. Sometimes there is a set deadline to get your submission in, sometimes the prompts remain open for the rest of the year.
Special side quests are events that happen occasionally, not tied to any holiday or duchy. They are irregular but submissions can usually be completed at any time.
