Though Ankrahmun in it's palmy days was a valley lush and fertile it was not without it's shortcomings even then. The city lay on the coast it is true and from there no fresh water could be drawn. Now where as with most coasts there is a river that empties into the sea Ankrahmun's coastline is unique in that there is no water tributary for hundreds of miles. And while the land was green and rich it was so because of numerous natural springs the lay along the verdant valley, there were no lakes that inhabited the land or rivers. And so what was most in want was also most sacred to the Ankrahmunian people: Water.Â
