Asst. Prof. Karuna Kluabmongkol led the Center of Innovation for Society (CIS), KMUTT team in presenting academic work at the 9th Asia Pacific Geoparks Network (APGN) Symposium 2026, held from 4–12 September 2026 at the Langkawi International Convention Centre, Langkawi UNESCO Global Geopark, Malaysia.
The symposium provided an important opportunity to share knowledge and experiences from CIS’s collaboration with Satun UNESCO Global Geopark and Satun UNESCO Learning City with geopark networks and international experts, particularly in area-based development, lifelong learning, and community participation.
Beyond the academic presentation, CIS also supported Satun Learning Administrators in joining the international exhibition, where they showcased and sold products co-developed through the New Breed of Graduates Programme. This provided the local team with hands-on experience in presenting their work to an international audience, receiving feedback, exchanging ideas, and exploring new opportunities for product and community development.
Participation in APGN 2026 successfully created opportunities for knowledge exchange, international networking, and future collaboration, further connecting Satun and KMUTT with partners across the Asia-Pacific region.
