Learning becomes powerful when children can touch, play, create, and discover for themselves.
CIS, led by Asst. Prof. Karuna Kluebmongkol, together with Learning City Managers of Satun UNESCO Learning City, brought Satun Make to children and young people in Satun, including youth from the Maniq community.
Developed and expanded through collaboration with FABLab Bangkok at KX, Satun Make turns hands-on activities into opportunities for lifelong learning. At the Maniq Chronicles: The Jungle’s Legacy event, young participants explored natural dyeing, creative making, and an interactive game that introduced stories of geoscience, local culture, and Satun’s unique identity.
The interactive learning experience was designed by Design Innovation students from KMUTT, in collaboration with Melvin Goh from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore, bringing together design, technology, and local knowledge in a playful learning environment.
For CIS, the goal goes beyond teaching children something new. We want them to experience that learning can be fun, exciting, and something they can confidently explore throughout their lives.
Because lifelong learning can begin with something as simple as making, playing, and being curious.
