Vision Statement:
The Associated Students of Colorado strive to inspire and equip the next generation of student leaders by connecting current high school leaders and members of ASCSU through mentorship, educational workshops, and firsthand experiences of collegiate governance. Through this program, we aim to cultivate a passion for leadership, build pathways for lifelong civic engagement, and prepare confident, informed, and capable leaders to thrive in higher education and beyond.
Summary: In the month of October ASCSU partnered with CHSAA to host a workshop at the fall, "All in" conference- where we presented to High school students about leadership at the collegiate level. This two-day Student Leadership Conference, where ASCSU was present for 3 hours, was an extraordinary opportunity for all high school student leaders in Colorado. The conference was hosted at Sand Creek High School, known for its inclusive and welcoming community- we enjoyed our conversations with the High School Students. We hope to continue our partnership with Assistant Commissioner Rashaan Davis.
Future work:
Working with Admissions to create a program for high school student leaders at the collegiate level, some mentorship framework, etc... Also Working with CHSAA to host one of the conferences at CSU's campus.
