Summary: During the week of October 7-11, we tabled on the Plaza every day to celebrate National Voter Education week. This week provides us with a critical opportunity to allow students to register to vote before the deadline for paper registration forms (the 15th). We are excited to partner with New Era, the League of Women Voters, and the Latinx Voters to hopefully register all eligible voters!
Future Work: We are currently working with New Era and Collective Vintage to host a “Make Your Voice Heard” Event which will be a fun little karaoke event with voter registration by New Era. Our plans are to make voting as accessible and available to all students through a variety of avenues, i.e. in-person tabling, social media pushes, and events off-campus. We hope to continue to partner with New Era as part of our Civic Engagement Series to discuss how students can be engaged beyond voting.
