LSAB 

Objective: The Legislative Strategy Advisory Board’s objective is to review and take official positions on legislation that impacts students, strategize advocacy efforts, and collaborate with our lobbying team to amplify student voices at the state level. LSAB also serves as a platform for students to engage in legislative processes and develop actionable policy initiatives. 

Future Work: Manny Marquez- Avalos, Deputy Director of Governmental Affairs, is coordinating to bring guest speakers to LSAB during the fall semester. This will allow us to acquaint the members with critical legislators and understand the political dynamic and context of this year.

Lobbying Team

Our lobbying team is Bowditch & Cassell Public Affairs, which includes Ed Bowditch, Jennifer Cassell, and their associate Hannah Johnson. They work with LSAB to represent student interests at the state level by advocating for legislation that aligns with our priorities, providing expertise on the legislative process, and helping us strategize on policy goals.
