Disagreeing Better

Summary: Our goal is to shift the narrative from the divisive nature we see both in our community and our national politics to a conversation in which students feel safe to express their opinions. We are kicking off the series with a tabling event on October 16th , in which we will create “I Voted For” stickers with our marketing team with an emphasis on issues instead of candidates. In addition, we will have Lily go around with a mic and ask students if they feel comfortable discussing the issues important to them or dropping their “I Voted For” sticker into a mock-up ballot box. The goal of the tabling is to start a conversation with students and understand the issues they feel most passionately about and how to frame the next event within the series.
