Fort Collins Community Housing Summit 

Summary:  The Fort Collins Housing Community Summit was a collaborative event organized by the Affordable Housing Advisory Board and the City of Fort Collins Social Sustainability Department. It provided valuable networking opportunities for attendees, where we connected with Homeward Alliance to discuss potential collaboration on their "Little Purple House Project." The summit also featured a presentation from city officials updating us on the progress made on the Housing Strategic Action Plan from 2021. So far, 16 of the 26 proposed strategies have been implemented, though the percentage of affordable and available housing units has only increased by 0.5% in the past year. The event also included opportunities for participants to engage in deliberations, allowing community members to voice their thoughts on the city's progress and the future of affordable housing in Fort Collins.
