Summary of ASCSU Organizational Wellness Initiative
ASCSU's Organizational Wellness project has made significant strides, with a dedicated team and a clear vision now guiding the initiative. This project, introduced at the ASCSU Retreat on August 31st, aims to enhance the health, productivity, and well-being of ASCSU members. The team behind this effort includes Jakye Nunley (Chief of Staff), Lauren Johnson (Deputy Director of Basic Needs), Chigozie Ozor (Director of Academic Relations), Elisa Randazzo (ASCSU Administrative Assistant), and Andrew White (ASCSU Operations Intern). Together, they are creating programs and support systems to foster a balanced work/school/life environment.
Professional Development: Offers skill-building programs and executive coaching.
Mental Health: Provides access to mental health resources, including counseling and stress management workshops.
Health & Nutrition: Promotes healthy diet, exercise, and overall physical wellness.
Work-Life Balance: Encourages flexible work arrangements and wellness-focused activities.
Personal Development: Supports self-care, emotional intelligence, and goal-setting.
The team is also working on future wellness projects, including collaborations with academic advisors and health network partners to develop effective wellness programming. This initiative is designed to strengthen ASCSU’s work culture, supporting members in personal development while helping them maintain a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle. The ultimate goal is to establish Organizational Wellness as a core, enduring component of ASCSU, enhancing both individual and organizational morale and productivity.
