Plan 1: Upcoming Collaborations: Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Environmental Affairs, Graduate Affairs, Governmental Affairs Summary:
We are planning many collaborative initiatives aimed at promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within our campus community through basic needs with programs like multicultural counseling services promotion and increasing accessibility of our program and resources. We also plan to engage with graduate students in mental health and wellness efforts. Additionally, we’re working with the Environmental Sustainability team for an event to distribute reusable period products. We aim to create a more inclusive environment that fosters dialogue and partnership across various departments and student organizations.
Plan 2: Project Porn, Blood Drives, EndOverdose Collaboration Summary:
This initiative focuses on increasing awareness around sexual health and overdose prevention through partnerships with EndOverdose and organizing blood drives on campus. We aim to provide students with essential resources and education while promoting healthy practices and community engagement.
Plan 3: RamRides 21st Birthday Summary:
Celebrating the 21st birthday of RamRides, this event will highlight the importance of safe transportation options for students, especially when consuming substances. The celebration will include promotions, safety awareness campaigns, and a community gathering to reinforce the value of the service. We will have a table and will be distributing Narcan and Fentanyl testing strips.
Plan 4: Pot-A-Plant Day: Advanced Planning Summary:
Pot-A-Plant Day will focus on engaging students in harm reduction around cannabis use. This event takes place in April but our department is beginning advanced planning now to ensure that Pot-A-Plant Day is bigger and better than ever. This event aims to educate students about safe cannabis use and the social justice and equity aspect which must be acknowledged when we talk about cannabis use in a legal state.
