Summary: We know from previous data that many students are unaware of the resources available to them surrounding mental health and wellness here at CSU. CSU and the Health Network have not done an effective job at making sure that students understand and can easily access the resources we have available. Additionally, many students named mental health and counseling services as their top health value when surveyed about what they want ASCSU to focus their efforts on health around. Mental Health Tabling and Student outreach is one way we can help disseminate these resources AND send a message to our student body that ASCSU listens to their needs. After last year, we learned several things, 1) tabling on Wednesdays from 11:00-2:00 allows for the highest traffic in the plaza and the LSC, 2) people will come engage with us if we have food and/or beverages, and 3) I observe the highest engagement from students when we partner with one or multiple other CSU organizations such as the Health Network, Active Minds, End Overdose, or the Disability Club. So this year, we scheduled reoccurring mental health dates for the third Thursday of each month from 11:00-2:00, ordered catering for each for donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate, and have chosen to partner with multiple organizations for each tabling date.
