Textbook Tax-Bill

Renters Rights Bill 

Summary: I am interested in pushing a Bill or policy at the State level to protect renters at large apartment complexes in Colorado from unexpected or excessive fees, unsafe or reasonably uncomfortable random roommate assignments, and misleading advertising. 

Future work: Launch campaign for student input, meet again with Gov. Aff. & lobbyists, and begin advocacy at State Capitol. 

Stakeholders & Beneficiaries: Renters in Colorado. 

Joint Budget Committee: 

President Nick Desalvo meets with the Joint Budget Committee with the goal to keep tuition caps low for returning and incoming students to CSU

AP & IB Credit Transparency 

President Nick Desalvo testified on legislation to ensure that students will be able to see which credits transfer from AP and IB courses that they took in high school. Ultimately, this effort is aimed at giving students more options for affordable higher education.
