Maths

Mathematics is at the forefront of many modern developments and the skills developed in school will prepare you for success in a variety of careers. Throughout the Broad General Education you will study a variety of fields of Maths which will allow you to develop knowledge and skills required to access sciences, technologies and more.

In S2 and beyond Mathematics learners will be studying courses that aim to build upon and extend prior knowledge, they will be actively encouraged to further develop higher order thinking skills and decision making to enable them to problem solve and develop curiosity.

Pupils will be encouraged to develop the curiosity to generate innovative and creative solutions through gathering, analysis and evaluation of relevant information. With perseverance and resilience learners will extend to an option of courses in the senior phase.
