Together For Good needs 12 more volunteers to deliver Together for Good’s November “delivery for good” to 17 families. Our “wrap around” volunteers do not need to have completed any training - just a willingness to help! These boxes are already packed up and labeled for each family and include household essential items, diapers, wipes and a few gift type items for kiddos and mom. When a volunteer arrives, they will be assigned a family to deliver the box to!
First pick up time will be Saturday 11/9 from 9-10am.
Second pick up option will be Monday, 11/11 from 9:30-10:30am.
Both from TFG’s storage unit: Safe Space Storage Unit #1314 (920 N Valley Mills Dr, Waco, TX 76710)
Ms. Downey could use some extra hands in prepping your student's art projects to be displayed during the Grammar School Christmas program!
Many of the grade levels this year are creating pieces made with chalk pastel, which look amazing, but also need to be sealed so they are less likely to incur damage. If you are available to help spray pieces with this sealant, it would be greatly appreciated.
If you have any questions, please email Ms. Downey at Elizabeth.Downey@ValorPrep.com.
If you are available to lend a hand, please fill out the form here to volunteer!
This week, Valor staff and students welcomed many prospective families and students to take a peek at our unique model of education and discipleship. The chapel was packed with visiting parents, and our fifth grade leadership teams were ready, welcoming familiar faces in the halls and carline, running the audio/visual at chapel, leading this month's hymn and declarations, and escorting visiting students to classrooms. It was a beautiful time of sharing the vision and values to which God has called our community. In what ways can you help your children develop the habits of hospitality and serve others with a smile on your homedays? 💙 Mrs. Ramsey

7th Grade Camping Trip
Though the threat of thunderstorms prevented the 7th graders from spending the night at Lake Whitney, a day trip to Camp Fimfo provided tons of opportunity for traditional camping fun! Mr. Mooney and 7th grade teachers led students in team building games, discipleship, athletic challenges, and even provided a campfire with s'mores!
While some teachers might be tempted to bemoan teaching students the day after Halloween (which can prove to be a challenging day of taming sleep-deprived, sugared-up pre-teens), the wonderful Mrs. Elmshaeuser used her Chemistry class to blow up pumpkins! The students thought it was awesome and it really brought their Chemistry lesson to life!
Valor's Annual Christmas Market is approaching, so get excited! The Christmas Market is a market that Valor hosts where students grades 6th - 12th have the opportunity to sell homemade items to their peers.

Logic school students do not need to be picked up from school until 5:00pm. If your student will not participate in Deck the Halls, pick them up via the carline as usual. Be on the lookout for an email from Ms. Asay to RSVP to this event!
Logic School Parent/Teacher conferences will happen this year for the first time! The goal of Logic School at Valor is to provide a smooth and gradual transition into the Rhetoric School. The vision for these conferences is for classroom teachers and co-teachers to collaborate on goals for their student to grow academically and spiritually as well as take steps towards the independence required further on in their academic journey. Please make sure to sign up for a conference here. We will be locking sign ups by November 11th in order to allow time for teachers to thoroughly and thoughtfully prepare.
