We want to introduce and warmly welcome our newest team member, Chelsey Stallard, who will be joining us as the Executive Assistant to the Head of School! In addition to administratively assisting Wes, Chelsey will be working heavily in communications and with the Bosque Square project.
We are all incredibly grateful to have Chelsey on board, and we are confident that everyone will enjoy working with her. Her skills and enthusiasm will be a fantastic addition to our team!
In addition to her role here at Valor, we're also thrilled that her little one, Jack will be joining us next year as a Pre-Kindergartener. We can't wait to have her whole family become a part of the Valor community.
Please take a moment to say hello, introduce yourselves, and make Chelsey feel at home. She's eager to get to know all of you and become part of our team. Let's give Chelsey a warm Valor welcome!
RSVP HERE for Grammar School & Upper School Grandparent Events
RSVPs for these events are required by each family in our Grammar & Logic School.
Parents, please coordinate the RSVP with your guests and submit one response for your family.
--------------
We need volunteers! The Grammar School Grandparents' Day event is one of the most special times of year for our students to showcase their poetry, hymn-singing, scripture recitation, and grade-level knowledge to their loved ones. In addition to your RSVPs, we need about 30 volunteers, though, to make this day happen! Please sign up HERE!
Hey Valor family, in an attempt to raise some money for our Junior trip to Europe this spring, we are bringing back the ever-popular "free dress punch card" for a few dates in the spring. If your student would like to come in free dress (not in their uniform) on Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, and senior's last day on campus -- buy a free dress card TODAY! We had our first day on the 14th, but if you'd like to participate in the next two days, cards are $15 each and all the money goes towards our student trips.
We'd love for any current family at Valor to consider being a Mentor Family for a new family joining Valor this upcoming school year! This partnership with families is vital to the heart and culture of our school and we would love for you to prayerfully consider serving in this capacity for this next school year!
Mentor Interest Form is now open and we would love for you to join us in welcoming the new families of Valor for our 2025-2026 school year!
Questions? Please email sherrae.cornett@valorprep.com
Want to be a part of what's going on around our school? Come to our last Traditions Quarterly Meeting on Wednesday, March 26th to hear about how you can be involved in end of year celebrations, teacher appreciation, new family mentorship, and more. Location is TBA. Mark your calendars and hope to see you there!
After Spring Break, 2nd-5th graders will begin reading Man's Slave Becomes God's Scientist. This is an important book about a Christian hero who overcame much suffering to follow God's call, contributing major advances to the field of science.
Please make sure you pre-read our family literature guide before you begin reading with your child. There may be parts you would like to skip, adjust, or prepare for a deeper conversation with your child as your whole family is challenged by this powerful life of faith.
Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions!
Valor Grammar School is excited to announce its third annual Living History Museum for second through fifth grades! Beginning the week of March 17th, the students will officially begin choosing their significant historical personality from a list given by their teacher. Then, they will begin developing a presentation, dress-up costume, and display board at home!
Please click HERE for a detailed week-by-week plan of homeday expectations.
At St. Matthew's chapel, while 2nd-5th graders were attending the speech and music meet last week, Valor's kindergarteners recited their poems to an enthusiastic group of parents and loved ones. Memory is such an awesome thing. Did you know that early Christian thinkers like Augustine believed that the human mind's capacity to remember, attend, and choose reflected God's holy Trinity? We are made in His image!
Out of all the busyness that fills a Grammar School day, one of my favorite activities is observing classrooms. Our teachers truly embody our philosophy: that education is a an atmosphere, a discipline, and a life. Discussing stories from history and literature and the living ideas contained in them-- whether a character, leader, or society was good or bad, right or wrong in their motivations and choices--forms the ways we see and respond to God, the world, and His kingdom. Please pray for our teachers and students to embrace the Truth, Goodness, and Beauty laid before them every class day.
💙 Mrs. Ramsey

What you can see on the field & court during the school year is built through camaraderie, consistency, and effort built through the offseason. We know families travel and have plans but wanted to get these opportunities out to you sooner rather than later.

Hello Valor Family! With the year starting some changes have been put into place. One of the changes is that the yearbook will be run by students taking the new journalism class this year. Some important information to note about the new yearbook this year:
Pre-order at www.treering.com. The passcode to buy the yearbook through Treering is: 1015196645893006.
As always, every family gets two free custom pages with the option to add additional spreads at 99 cents each. This is a great way to document home days and other activities.
