February 7th, 2025
On Wednesday, February 12th we will set aside a day to pray as a community throughout the day for our school, students, departments, staff and families. It is an honor to walk this journey with you and your family.
We also want to celebrate all the ways the Lord has guided and made provision for our school. We would love to invite families to join us next Wednesday to celebrate all the ways the Lord has answered the prayers of His people.
The worship service will be located at the Reflections By Serenity Events Center at Bosque Square Village at 5:30pm (The Reflections storefront is in between the DBat and the Central Texas Driving School storefronts).
Come celebrate and seek the Lord with us for Valor!
On Wednesday, February 12th, we will be intentionally praying for different elements of our school.
Use this LINK to print off the hourly schedule and to see specific prayer points for each category.
We also invite you and your family to join us that night from 5:30-6:30pm for a Worship & Celebration prayer night!
Parents, please coordinate the RSVP with your guests and submit one response for your family.

Hey Valor family, in an attempt to raise some money for our Junior trip to Europe this spring, we are bringing back the ever-popular "free dress punch card" for a few dates in the spring. If your student would like to come in free dress (not in their uniform) on Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, and senior's last day on campus -- buy a free dress card TODAY! Cards are $15 each and all the money goes towards our student trips.

All hail the power of Jesus' name!
Let angels prostrate fall.
Bring forth the royal diadem,
and crown him Lord of all.
Bring forth the royal diadem,
and crown him Lord of all!
Chapel is always a special time to meditate on God's love. This week, we began learning a new hymn, All Hail the Power of Jesus's Name. Mrs. McKown also spoke about how God's presence is always with us, just as a loving parent's hand sometimes rests on our heads to remind us of their love and guidance.
As always, you are welcome to attend our chapel on Wednesday mornings. We've saved a seat for you on February 19th when first and second grades will be reciting their poetry.
Grandparents' Day is one of the most special times of year for our students to showcase their poetry, hymn-singing, scripture recitation, and grade-level knowledge to their loved ones.
We need about 30 volunteers, though, to make this day happen! Please sign up HERE!
The Grammar School cafeteria is a fun place to be! To help our amazing aides keep things running smoothly:
Please send your child with a sealed water bottle. There have been many recent spills lately with straw bottles.
Aides and teachers are unable to microwave student lunches. Please send your child with a thermos of pre-heated food or a cold lunch.

Reminder for 9th/10th: Freshmen and sophomores are required to keep an assignment notebook, which is filled out in class daily and initialed by the teacher. It will not be initialed if it is not complete, accurate, and legible. Email the teacher if you have a question about the assignment notebook for his/her class.

CALLING ALL VALOR SPORTS FAMILIES
Youth Sports Summit at Baylor's Truett Seminary
Youth sports have become a $37 billion industry in the United States. This athletic boom presents unique challenges for Christian communities (i.e. Valor), parents, coaches, and athletes. Everyone feels the crunch. How do parents and coaches provide a space for young athletes to experience the joys and development of sports while navigating the pressures and potentially harmful excesses?
Join Brian and Linsey Smith (former collegiate athletes, 15+ years in youth sports ministry and author of The Christian Athlete) and other leaders for an interactive conference and workshop focused on how to practically help our athletes live out a biblical perspective on athletics and engage in the gifts they are given to glorify God.
