The School Calendar for the 2025-2026 school year has been approved and is ready for you! Please click here to view it.
Please pay special attention to the parent training dates in early August. More information will come later this semester on the timing for those!
Thank you!
School Picture time is here!!! Dust in the Wind Photography will be taking them again for us this year!
Here is the schedule of when each class goes to get their pictures taken.
We will start by taking individual headshots and then we'll do the group class pictures at the very end of the month. If you'd like to order pictures, please fill out this form as soon as possible.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Bethany at Admin@ValorPrep.com. Thank you!
If you order DoorDash, or something similar, to be delivered to your student(s) during the school day, please be sure to add a note in the delivery instructions to leave the order on the box outside the front door and then also let the Front Office know it is coming (call 254-235-0575 or email Sarah.Worthington@ValorPrep.com). This will help get the items to your students faster!
If you have any questions, please reach out to Sarah at Sarah.Worthington@ValorPrep.com. Thank you!
Next Friday, 3/28 is Spirit day!!!
Here are a few reminders from the Uniform Policy about Spirit Day dress:
On spirit days (typically the last Friday of the month), students may wear:
Valor t-shirts (sold through the school) or uniform (not athletic jersey) tops
T-shirts should be worn down or tucked in, and can also be knotted, but not tied up higher than your hips (ie. if you raise your arms, you shirt should still cover your skin)
School shirts may not be cut or altered for spirit days
Jeans, jean skirts, joggers, athletic shorts, or uniform bottoms
Athletic shorts must be mid-thigh or longer (the shortest part of the shorts must be at least mid-thigh, typically no shorter than a 7” inseam for LS/RS students)
Valor branded athletic shorts may also be worn (shorts may not be rolled or shortened) - purchase at Valor Spirit Shop OR Athletic Shop
Shorts/pants/jeans may be black, gray, blue, or white (ie. no additional colors)
Shorts/skirts must be visible by several inches even when wearing a long shirt
Leggings/yoga pants are not permitted
All free dress/spirit day jeans/pants should have no holes or rips that occur higher than 3 inches above the top of the knee.
Valor footwear and classroom outerwear policies still apply (however students may wear Valor athletic hoodies on Spirit Days as well)
Students should not wear hats, head scarves, or bandanas

We'd love for any current family at Valor to consider being a Mentor Family for a new family joining Valor this upcoming school year! This partnership with families is vital to the heart and culture of our school and we would love for you to prayerfully consider serving in this capacity for this next school year!
Mentor Interest Form is now open and we would love for you to join us in welcoming the new families of Valor for our 2025-2026 school year!
Questions? Please email sherrae.cornett@valorprep.com
Students love seeing their own mathematical progress!
1st-4th grade students who begin with one or two Xtramath sessions every homeday show increased ease in completing assignments.
4th-5th grade students who commit to 30 additional minutes of IXL Practice are showing HUGE strides in their math proficiency. Click HERE for ways to navigate to suggested problems based on your child's learning needs.
Consider purchasing and playing these board games to foster mathematical family fun!
This quarter, Grammar School students are studying four works by the French neo-classical painter, Jacques-Louis David. Last year, Mrs. McCormick got to see David's Death of Socrates at the Metropolitan Museum of Art while she joined Valor students on a trip to New York. Check out more information about this famous painting and listen to the story behind it HERE.
The freeze is over, and it's time for classrooms to begin planting their grade-level boxes again! Do you have cuttings, seeds, or plants you would like to donate and/or help your child's class plant during afternoon recess one day? Contact your child's teacher! We would love your help to bring springtime beauty to our Grammar School playground!
💙 Mrs. Ramsey

Hello Valor Family! With the year starting some changes have been put into place. One of the changes is that the yearbook will be run by students taking the new journalism class this year. Some important information to note about the new yearbook this year:

As always, every family gets two free custom pages with the option to add additional spreads at 99 cents each. This is a great way to document home days and other activities.

Just a quick reminder! If your student needs to leave early, arrive late, is sick, or they are going home with someone who is not on your pickup list, please call or email Sarah Worthington at the front desk to let her know! She is handling all those requests from here on out. Thank you!!!!!!
Hey Valor family, in an attempt to raise some money for our Junior trip to Europe this spring, we are bringing back the ever-popular "free dress punch card" for a few dates in the spring. If your student would like to come in free dress (not in their uniform) on Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, and senior's last day on campus -- buy a free dress card TODAY! We had our first day on the 14th, but if you'd like to participate in the next two days, cards are $15 each and all the money goes towards our student trips.
