ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Early Release tomorrow, Friday, 10/10!!!
We will be releasing Grammar school at noon and Upper school students at 12:15pm tomorrow, 10/10. All students must be picked up by 12:30pm. There will be no lunch time on campus for students tomorrow and Faculty & Staff will be in trainings for the remainder of the day after pickup. We will see everyone back to school on Wednesday, 10/15. Happy Fall Break!!!
Car Line: Let’s Be the Best Neighbors!

LET’S GET EXCITED: CAMP BLESSING 2026!
Last summer, twenty-seven Upper School students and two Valor moms volunteered for one week at Camp Blessing in Brenham, Texas. Camp Blessing (CB) is a Christian summer camp for kids and adults with special needs. Our students served on crew (middle-school kitchen & cleaning crew), as cabin hands (assistant counselors), and as buddies (counselors), and full stop—we had an extraordinary week! Parents, please be on the lookout for information about CB. At school, we will share with your student about this opportunity to serve, and Kirsten Escobar will host a parent information meeting in October after Fall Break. In the meantime, please visit CB’s website to learn more about this wonderful camp where they love Jesus and love kids! https://campblessing.org/
The half-day on Friday, October 10th, coincides with the last class day of Quarter 1.
Teachers are giving summative assessments this week and/or have deadlines for out-of-class work such as papers and projects. If your student will miss school on 10/10 as we begin Valor Fall Break, he or she must complete tests and submit all assignments before Friday. Please have your student communicate with his or her teachers now so that they can make arrangements for your student’s absence.
PSAT and PSAT-NMSQT
Year 11 students, thank you for scheduling the PSAT-NMSQT on Saturday, 10/18. You will report to Valor 15 minutes before your test. Mr. Miller will be at the USV gate to greet you and direct you to your testing room.
Year 10 students, our testing coordinator will schedule you for your test on Saturday. You will receive an email with your designated time – either 10am or 1pm – before Fall Break begins on Friday afternoon. On 10/18, you will report to Valor 15 minutes before your test. Mr. Miller will be at the USV gate to greet you and direct you to your testing room
HOT College Night
Baylor University will host the 2025 HOT College Night at the Hurd Welcome Center on Monday, October 20th, from 6:00-8:00 pm. More than 100 colleges will send admissions counselors to meet with students during this event—right here in Waco!

Valor parents and grandparents are invited to join us for a time to pray over our faculty, staff, students, and families. We meet in the Valor cafeteria from 8:30-9:00am.
