• LET’S GET EXCITED: CAMP BLESSING 2026!

Last summer, twenty-seven Upper School students and two Valor moms volunteered for one week at Camp Blessing in Brenham, Texas. Camp Blessing (CB) is a Christian summer camp for kids and adults with special needs. Our students served on crew (middle-school kitchen & cleaning crew), as cabin hands (assistant counselors), and as buddies (counselors), and full stop—we had an extraordinary week! Parents, please be on the lookout for information about CB. At school, we will share with your student about this opportunity to serve, and Kirsten Escobar will host a parent information meeting 11/3 from 7-8pm in USV 101. In the meantime, please visit CB’s website to learn more about this wonderful camp where they love Jesus and love kids!

• Congratulations to our Fall Theater Producion class who competed in the Regional One Act Play competition last night and won 2nd place!!!  They will now advance to the TAPPS State One Act Play competition November 10-11.  Some individual awards were also given out to:

• Camp Blessing Information Meeting: 

Monday, November 3rd from 7-8pm in USV Room 101. It was extraordinary, and we are headed to CB again this summer! • Parents, our lost & found is overflowing! Please ask your kids to take a look at the waterbottles, lunch boxes, clothing, and curriculum that we have gathered in the green wagon. We want your students to retrieve these expensive items. Ask them to take a look if you are missing items at home! 

• As we are moving into cooler weather (finally), students are wearing their Valor fleeces,  sweatshirts and quarter zips to school. Please label these clothing items – as our days warm up and they take off these extra layers.

Valor parents and grandparents are invited to join us for a time to pray over our faculty, staff, students and families. We will meet in the Valor cafeteria from 8:30-9:00am.

• 11/15: 8th Grade Class is hosing a Parents Knight Out as a DC Trip Fundraiser... 5:30-9:00pm in the Valor Gym

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

• Our RS athletes did a superb job at the TAPPS State Cross Country Meet this week!  Ethan Locke took 1st place and had the fastest time across all divisions (1A-6A). He broke the meet record and now holds his 8th State Title so far!   Ethan Locke & River Ackley finished in the Top 10 which puts them on the All State Team, and Clara Gibson (4th place) & Ellie Buck (9th place) finished in the top 10 which also puts them on the All State Team in Cross Country.  The Valor boys team took 3rd place overall.  The Valor girls team took 2nd place Overall.

We are so proud of our Knights for how they worked hard, showed grit and represented our school!!
