Valor has purchased and set up individual IXL accounts for Rhetoric School students in Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Precalculus.
This online educational platform offers instructional support for students in each of these math courses. Within IXL, students will find video tutorials, example problems, practice problems (with solutions), and learning checks – by chapter and section – for their course textbooks. Mrs. Weathers has created a video explaining how you can help your student access and utilize this resource, which you will receive by email forthwith.
Meeting with Teachers
Teachers’ office hours are listed on the Course Quick Guides that you received during the RS Grade Level Launches in August; these office hours are also listed on your students’ syllabus for each Rhetoric School course. When RS students miss class (because of illness, a sports competition, or a doctor’s visit), their teachers’ office hours are the designated times for them to meet with their instructors to discuss their missed work. It is each student’s responsibility and obligation to meet with teachers during their posted office hours when he or she is absent from school.
