Frequently Asked Questions
ACADEMICS
Is Valor becoming more Classical than Christian? What is Valor’s definition of classical?
Absolutely not. Valor is not becoming more Classical than Christian. Our foundation is unapologetically rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that any attempt to separate the “sacred” from the “secular” is a false divide. The reality is that all truth is God’s truth, and every subject—math, literature, science, history—is taught in the light of a distinctly Christian worldview.
At Valor, we are first and foremost disciple-makers, partnering with parents in the Christian education and spiritual formation of their children. Our mission is not simply to convey information, but to cultivate the hearts and minds of students toward wisdom, virtue, and Christlikeness. This vision is at the very heart of classical education.
So, what do we mean by "classical"? At Valor, a classical education is one that emphasizes truth, goodness, and beauty, and is grounded in the rich tradition of Western thought, ordered by the Word of God. It is an approach that aims not just to prepare students for college or career, but for life—formed in character, grounded in truth, and equipped to courageously influence culture for the glory of God.
There are many models of Christian education, but we believe the classical approach to Christian education is the best—because it aligns with how God designed the mind, soul, and heart to grow in wisdom. Classical is not a replacement for Christian; it is the means through which we pursue Christian discipleship in education.

Why the Need to Move?
The Lord has greatly blessed Valor Preparatory Academy, and in our 11th year, we have grown from just 25 students to 470 students. For the 2025-2026 school year, we are projected to surpass 500 students! We have maximized the use of our current campus between Sanger Ave and New Road, getting creative with space. This has included adding portable buildings for additional classrooms in the upper school, renting space at St. Matthews, and making the most of every available inch for learning. However, with the projected growth of over 500 students next year, it is clear that we have outgrown our current facilities. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped us reach this point and eagerly anticipate what the Lord has in store for our future.
Why Bosque Square Village?
By God’s grace and kindness, we’ve been led to the Bosque Square Village, ideally situated at the heart of our Valor community, making it easily accessible to all our families from the North, South, East, and West. This location brings our families together without increasing travel time significantly, creating a sense of unity. Perched on a hill at the corner of Highway 6 and Bosque Blvd, the property offers us twice the space we need to grow to our full capacity as determined by our Board. Additionally, we were fortunate to acquire several acres of wooded land behind Bosque Square for trails, outdoor learning, and an added security buffer for the school—all at an incredibly affordable price.
After a year of carefully exploring all options, from raw land to other existing properties, we’ve concluded that Bosque Square Village is the most cost-effective solution for Valor’s growth. Unlike other locations that would require building or purchasing an existing school building, this site has everything we need to accommodate our future needs. It will serve as Valor’s final home, with all facilities located on a single campus, easing the travel burden on our families who would otherwise have to go to multiple locations for activities and classes.
What is the predicted timeline for the new campus to be finished and ready to operate?
We aim to have Phase 1 completed and ready for our Upper School to move in by January 2026. Phase 2 is currently in the planning and fundraising stages.
What is the timeline for moving into the new location, partially or completely?
Our realistic goal is to move the Upper School after Christmas 2025. While we do not anticipate a full move before then, Phase 1 will prioritize student-use spaces, including outdoor areas.
When will the Grammar School move, and what happens to the current campus?
The Grammar School will move to Bosque Square upon completion of Phase 2. Near the time of that transition, we anticipate selling our current campus to help fund continued construction at the new location. If you know of a buyer, please reach out.
Will there be an effort to include more natural light in classrooms and offices?
Yes. We have prioritized natural light in all student and instructional spaces, such as classrooms, the cafeteria, and commons areas. Offices may not receive direct natural light, but light accessibility has been a key design focus.
What is being done to assist current tenants at Bosque Square with relocation?
We understand the transition brings challenges for existing tenants. We’ve begun communicating directly with multiple tenants and have engaged a property management company and realtor to oversee this process. Our goal is to work collaboratively and seek mutually beneficial solutions, including negotiating fair rental terms or relocation support when needed.

Can you share more about the outdoor spaces planned for Upper School students?
Absolutely. Outdoor spaces are a high priority in Phase 1. We plan to include a recreation area for student use and begin development of the wooded area behind the campus, envisioning trails, outdoor classrooms, and gathering spaces that reflect our values and promote both learning and rest.
ATHLETICS
With Phase 2 completed and three courts planned inside the new building, will court sports practices be primarily held on campus?
Yes. Our goal is to centralize basketball and volleyball practices on campus. The addition of two more gyms will give Valor access to 10 total basketball goals—a significant improvement from our current facilities.
How will students travel from Bosque to Sanger for athletics in the short term?
Transportation will continue as it currently functions—via students driving themselves, Valor vans, or parent-arranged carpooling.
Will Valor continue to use the St. Matthew’s gym, and for how long?
Yes. While we remain at our current campus, we will continue to utilize the gym at St. Matthew’s. Our lease is active and includes provisions for future extensions as needed.
Will athletics move into the Bosque campus before the Grammar School?
No. Based on our current planning, Phase 2 includes both athletics facilities (gyms) and Grammar School classrooms and playgrounds. These will open concurrently, not in separate phases.
