Dear Valor Parents,
It was wonderful to see your students' smiling faces back on campus this week after what I hope was a restorative, restful break. January holds more exciting events for the Grammar School: our upcoming Parent U on the 21st, Spirit week, and most of all, more rich opportunities to learn the beauty and goodness of our Lord and His world.
In chapel this week, we meditated on the first line of Psalm 23 "The Lord is my shepherd; I lack nothing." We also learned the story of the man who wrote the hymn, Holy, Holy, Holy. After serving in India for many years in the 1800's, his greatest legacy was a poem of worship which he wrote in relative secret before he even left. So, whatever landscape your soul finds itself in as you welcome the new year, whether you are elated or struggling, full or feeling empty, I'm praying that keeping your eyes on the shepherd will remind you that we have all we need. We lack nothing.
With joy,
Brooke Ramsey
