Deck the Halls is coming up on Wednesday, December 3, from 3:45-5:00. This will include decorating the doors of Logic School teachers and the Upper School Village while enjoying Christmas music and snacks! We hope that all Logic School students can attend. Please follow this link and let us know if your student will or will not be attending!
Parents, we are in need of several volunteers to make this fun "Deck the Halls" event happen. First, we need help setting up and preparing for the event. We would love to have around six parent volunteers come up on Tuesday, December 2nd from 2:45-3:30. We also need around six parent volunteers to help run the event itself! So, you would be at Valor from around 3:20-5:10 on December 3. Please email Maddie Shirley (maddie.shirley@valorprep.com) if you are able to help during either of those times.
Lost & Found!!
Parents, our lost & found is overflowing! Please ask your kids to take a look at the waterbottles, lunch boxes, clothing, and curriculum that we have gathered in the green wagon. We want your students to retrieve these expensive items. Ask them to take a look if you are missing items at home. When we begin our Thanksgiving holiday, we will dispose of all items in the lost & found.
As we are moving into cooler weather (finally), students are wearing their Valor fleeces, sweatshirts and quarter zips to school. Please label these clothing items – as our days warm up and they take off these extra layers.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The Texas Center for the Book is delighted to announce the opening of the Letters About Literature writing contest for 2025-2026. Texas 4th-12th graders are invited to participate in Letters About Literature, an annual writing competition administered by the Texas Center for the Book. Students read a book or poem and write a letter to an author—living or dead—explaining how his or her work changed their view of themselves or the world. Students may have a strong connection to the theme of the book or with a particular character. They may write about challenging events in their lives that relate to the book they have read. The possibilities are limitless, and we look forward to reading your entries! The submission portal deadline is 6 p.m. Central time, on Monday, January 26, 2026. There are three categories of competition: grades 4-6, grades 7-8, and grades 9-12. First-place winners receive $300. Second-place winners receive $200, and third-place winners receive $100. For more information, please see the Texas State Library Archives.
