Fall Theatre One Act Showcase - Ville du Havre
Valor Theatre presents its State qualifying OneActPlay performance of Ville Du Havre* by Amanda Guthrie on Thursday November 13th at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm at Grace Church Waco. $5 tickets can be purchased here!
*Please note:* Ville du Havre is the retelling of the historical and tragic events that inspired the beloved poem and hymn, It Is Well. Due to tone and story, it is not recommended for younger audiences, but would be appropriate for 7th graders and up. All proceeds from this event help with future costs related to students travel for competition.
Together for Good Holiday Gathering
Calling all current AND prospective/interested/curious Valor Together for Good volunteers for a cheerful gathering after dropoff at 8:30am this Wednesday 11/19 in the Valor cafeteria. Together for Good has so many incredible ways for families to serve other families - whether through providing a meal to a new mom, being a friend to an overwhelmed mom, hosting children, giving rides and much more. Lost & Found!!
Parents, our lost & found is overflowing! Please ask your kids to take a look at the waterbottles, lunch boxes, clothing, and curriculum that we have gathered in the green wagon. We want your students to retrieve these expensive items. Ask them to take a look if you are missing items at home. When we begin our Thanksgiving holiday, we will dispose of all items in the lost & found.
As we are moving into cooler weather (finally), students are wearing their Valor fleeces, sweatshirts and quarter zips to school. Please label these clothing items – as our days warm up and they take off these extra layers.

Christmas Kickball, hosted by Adalet & Ausardia, that was scheduled for this Saturday has been postponed. Be on the look out. Student Life will communicate a new day and time for this event very soon!
The Rhetoric School faculty and staff offer our heartfelt thanks to the Teacher Appreciation Committee for the wonderful lunch you all provided for us. What a delicious meal! We felt both appreciated and cared for. Thank you for this labor of love. We are grateful!
Mr. Miller is meeting with students who would like to discuss changes to their Spring 2026 electives. Please encourage your student to email him or drop by his office on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday if he or she would like to review next semester’s schedule.
As we round the midway point of Quarter 2, please remind your student that teachers hold office hours in the Rhetoric School and are available to meet with your student. Most of our teachers are in their classrooms from 7:45 to 8:15 am on MWF mornings. Students can check their syllabi for the times and locations of each of their teacher’s office hours.

We are entering into this month focused on gratitude to the Lord. We have so many blessings from God and we want to reflect on His goodness to us. We wanted to pass along some helpful resources that might help flesh out this concept in your time as a family. Whatever your capacity is, and whatever you chose to adopt at home, our hope is that your hearts would be more turned to the Lord with thankful hearts. League sports wrapped up their fall season this past week. Thank you to all of the volunteer coaches who made this happen for our community!
We’re excited to announce letterman jacket fittings for all first-time varsity qualifiers and returning athletes wishing to add patches or updates for achievements.
Who: One Act Play, Football, Cross Country, and Volleyball varsity qualifiers
When: Monday, December 2 during lunch
Where: Valor Cafeteria
What to do: Please complete the Letterman Jacket Order Form and view the pricing guide and crest patch information. This includes students who qualified last spring but missed the previous fitting opportunity or would like to add new patches for accomplishments. Thank you for celebrating and honoring the hard work of our Valor Knights!
Tammy Marton hours are MWF 12-4pm.
