After significant research and collaboration, the Valor Board has officially adopted the Portrait of a Graduate, clarifying Valor's intentional, Christ-centered outcomes.
“Being in college, even if I don’t remember everything I learned, Valor has changed the way I think and operate with assignments. I miss the community of Valor all the time. I don’t think people realize just how rare it is to be in an encouraging, Christ-like environment that will support you so well. Most of my friends at college did not have a high school experience like that, so I am so thankful.” -Lauren Spille, Class of 2023
“Valor hasn’t just been a high quality private school experience but Valor is a community and a family that you grow with and experience life with. Our family has been so strengthened and built up by the Valor educators, who endlessly pour their time, energy and hearts into the school and students. They have created a school culture that encourages spiritual, social-emotional, academic and physical growth in our children that is founded on truth and has been pivotal during their most developmental years.” -Kelly Buck
The Valor Finance Committee recommended a modest 5% tuition increase for the 2025-2026 school year. This recommendation was approved during the November Board Meeting. With this, Valor remains the most affordable PK-12, full-service private school in Waco.
With an Annual Fund Goal of $75,000 for 2023-2024, Valor families demonstrated extreme generosity and exceeded that goal, donating nearly $200,000. This year, Valor has an end-of-year giving goal of $200,000 to provide tuition scholarships for students, provide Christmas bonuses to faculty & staff, enhance our programming, and even provide seed money when a capital campaign is launched.
The Valor All-Sports Booster Club hosted it's Inaugural Golf Tournament. The event was an amazing opportunity to build community and enage with each other, friends, and colleagues outside of school. In addition, the event grossed approximately $25,000, which will benefit our Athletic Program. A heartfelt "Thank You" to all of our sponsors! Knights on the Green was a huge success.
"Our kids have absolutely thrived under the leadership and discipleship of Valor coaches! They are men and women of integrity and commitment to Christ, and as parents, we feel immense gratitude for the hours each week that they spend investing in our kids." -Lauren and Todd Allen
Did you know that students are prepared for success at Valor Dances through on-campus lessons prior to the event?! Partners at dances are rotated to ensure inclusivity and fun for everyone!
"I cannot express enough the important role sports has played in our children’s lives. The directors, coaches, staff, and team members all create an environment that prepares our children for their future jobs, relationships and experiences they might encounter in their adult lives while remembering their primary purpose, to be a disciple of Christ." -Michael & Shelley Meline

On September 4th, the Valor Board along with the Growth and Expansion Committee, Booster Club, staff, and dedicated volunteers convened for a visionary gathering named Basecamp. This initial meeting set the foundation for what could become the future home of Valor Preparatory Academy. Since this pivotal gathering, our team has diligently refined the designs with extensive input from various departments, ensuring a well-considered Master Plan emerges. Additionally, we collaborated with two external entities to secure accurate budget estimates, assessing the project's financial viability. Our Master Planning phase is on track to conclude in December. Subsequently, Base Camp #2 will be convened to update all stakeholders on the progress. In January, the Valor Board will make a crucial decision regarding the project's future. We invite you to join us in prayer for wisdom and provision as we cosider moving forward with these plans.
“For us, Valor has meant maintaining the connection that we value as a family. The connection with our kids but also the extra time for our kids to connect and build relationship as siblings. Through the home days and co-teaching its apparent, it strengthens connections with my own kids and I love watching the way my kids enjoy each other, help each other out with school, and just the extra time to strengthen relationship is so meaningful to us.” -Megan Gibson
