Swampscott High School Student Ambassador Program

Description 

 Over the years, we have had incredibly talented and dedicated students helping to promote and support our community.The Student Ambassador Program is a leadership opportunity for Swampscott High School students who are committed to serving and representing the SHS community.  SHS Student Ambassadors personify our school’s “vision of a graduate,” embody the school’s core values, and proudly represent the SHS community at numerous events throughout the year both during and after school. This program aims to promote a positive, safe, and inclusive culture and climate for all SHS community members. 



Eligibility, Roles, and Responsibilities

  • SHS Students in grades 9-12 

  • Student in solid academic standing (minimum of 80 unweighted GPA, or at discretion of SHS Ambassador Advisor) 

  • Be comfortable speaking to individual students and families, small and large groups of people 

  • Willing to volunteer at several events throughout the year

  • Serve as role models for SHS community both in and out of SHS

  • Act in accordance with all school rules and regulations, including adherence to the attendance policy and maintaining clean discipline record

  • Complete any required training (SHS tours require a script and brief training session)

  • Collaborate regularly with SHS Ambassador Program faculty coordinators (this collaboration may include emailing, in person meetings, phone calls. (Students must reply and respond in a timely manner.)
