National Art Honor Society Overview: For more than 40 years, the National Art Honor Society programs have provided national recognition and opportunities for students who exhibit outstanding scholarship in the visual arts. Participation in NAHS provides members valuable benefits—including artistic recognition, leadership opportunities, college and career preparation, and more.
Membership Criteria: Membership is based on scholarship, service, and character. All candidates shall have completed a period equivalent to one semester of art in this school and a minimum art scholarship of B. Members are expected to participate in a minimum of 5 service hours a year to maintain active status. All members must participate in 80% of our projects, activities, and fundraisers.
Member Meetings: Attendance is required at meetings to maintain membership and privileges. Meetings will take place Mondays afterschool on a monthly schedule in d106.
Membership Fee: Annual dues of $10 will be collected from each member to cover NAHS registration fees to the NAEA and cost of art supplies used by the program.
Application: Students can either apply independently or be nominated by a teacher.
