Description: The Swampscott High School Amnesty International Club is a chapter of the international organization Amnesty International. Our club’s mission statement is to advocate for human rights through direct, research-based, and passionate activism. We work to maintain universal human rights through fighting for those suffering under oppression, and by working to protect the freedom of one’s expression and speech. Through our activism, students are able to collect community service hours. The Amnesty International Club is a safe space for anyone wanting to become an active activist within their community.
