For this project, we were assigned to to create a design on a ceramic tile, scratching off the under-glaze; similar to our previous project using scratch board. The materials I used were a clay tile and scratch tools. One of the goals of this project were to balance the white and black of the clay.

At first, I had an idea to to use a ying and yang affect of a butterfly on my clay with flowers in the corners. But as Mr. A told us, it was hard to get fine details/lines; so as you can see, I decided against the flowers. I love how my final product came out, I think I did a good job, especially with balancing the white and black. I enjoyed this project a lot, it was fun.
