For this project, we were assigned to first create a linocut of mini-print to introduce us to the tools we would be using. We were then assigned to create an edition of prints from a black and white photo of ourselves to cut out and create a printing block. We had four different types of prints we were assigned to create, a black and white print, and extended print, and alternate background print, and our own choice of a print. The materials I used was the carving tool, the block, and obviously ink.

It wasn't very hard to carve my block out, I didn't really have any troubles doing that, it just was a little time consuming. It took me awhile to get the hang of how much ink to use, but in the end it all worked out. I wasn't a big fan of this project, but it was cool to do.
