Thank you to all the families who joined us for our Open Day on Wednesday. For those unable to attend, here are the key highlights we shared:
A Special Thank You to Our Student Ambassadors
A huge thank you to our wonderful student ambassadors who led tours around the school, answered questions with confidence and enthusiasm, and represented Samakee brilliantly. Your professionalism, knowledge, and warm welcome made such a positive impression on our visitors. We're incredibly proud of you!
What Makes Samakee Special
We reminded visitors that Samakee is a small school where every child is known, valued, and supported. Our strengths include:

Unique programmes like Forest School for outdoor learning
Whole child focus - academic learning alongside emotional wellbeing, creativity, and personal growth
Exciting New Development: OPAL Initiative
We're thrilled to announce that we've acquired new land to develop our OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) initiative. This isn't just a playground - it's a space where children will actively create and shape their environment by:
Sculpting mounds of soil
Establishing a natural pond
Learning about ecology and teamwork
Building a traversing wall (requested by our older students!)
Children won't just play in nature - they will create it, gaining hands-on learning experiences you simply cannot get from a textbook.
Preparing for BSO Inspection
We're approaching our British Schools Overseas (BSO) inspection - an important quality mark showing we meet high British educational standards. We're proud of what we've achieved:
Skilled and dedicated teachers
Rich, engaging curriculum across all subjects
Strong systems to track every child's progress
Active promotion of British and Thai values
Most importantly - happy, confident learners
What Visitors Saw
Families toured classrooms across all phases, observed lessons in action, enjoyed a special presentation in our Dance and Drama Studio, and had opportunities to meet staff and ask questions.
