13th March 2026
Dear Samakee Community,
It has been wonderful to welcome our children and staff back to school this week following the half-term break. The energy and enthusiasm in our classrooms has been infectious, and we have been delighted to see how quickly everyone has settled back into our school routines. Our students have returned ready to learn, and our teachers are excited to continue the excellent progress made this term.
Managing the Heat
As we move further into the warmer months, we continue to monitor the heat index closely throughout each school day to ensure the safety and well-being of all our pupils. This week, temperatures have required us to implement our standard heat prevention and response practices for outdoor activities, including:
Regular water breaks
Limiting outdoor activity during peak heat periods
Ensuring access to shaded areas
Adjusting our timetable when necessary to keep children safe and comfortable
We are grateful for your support in sending children to school with appropriate sun protection and water bottles. Please continue to apply sunscreen before school, and we will encourage the children to reapply as needed throughout the day.
Exciting Adventures Ahead
Our middle school students are buzzing with anticipation as they prepare to venture beyond the classroom walls for their upcoming trips and residentials. These valuable experiences offer wonderful opportunities for personal growth, team building, and hands-on learning in new environments. We know these adventures will create lasting memories and strengthen the bonds within our school community.
We look forward to hearing all about their experiences when they return and sharing their stories with you in our next newsletter.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
