Looking Ahead to Half-Term

As we rapidly approach the half-term break at the end of next week, we have two wonderful events to look forward to that showcase our students' talent and hard work.

Parent Consultations – Tuesday and Thursday Next Week

We warmly invite you to attend our Parent Consultations on Tuesday and Thursday next week. These meetings provide a valuable opportunity for you to:

Discuss your child's progress and achievements with their teachers
Understand their current learning goals and any areas for development
Share insights about your child that can help us support them better
Ask questions and gain a clearer picture of their school experience

Your involvement in your child's education makes a real difference to their success and wellbeing. We encourage all parents to take advantage of this opportunity to connect with staff and celebrate your child's journey this term.

Middle School Production: The Wizard of Oz

We're thrilled to announce that our Middle School students (Years 3-5) will be performing The Wizard of Oz next week! This production represents weeks of dedication, creativity, and teamwork from our talented young performers and their teachers. It promises to be a magical experience filled with memorable performances, colourful costumes, and wonderful music.

We would love to see as many parents as possible in the audience to support our students and share in this special moment. Your presence means the world to them and helps create the encouraging, community atmosphere that makes our school special.

Welcome Back to Our Upper School Adventurers!

This afternoon, we're delighted to welcome back our Upper School students and teachers who have spent an adventurous week in Khao Yai. We're eager to hear about their experiences, the challenges they've overcome, and the memories they've created together. Please see the photos of their adventures below – we think you'll agree they've had an incredible time!

What to Expect: Each appointment is an opportunity to:

Discuss your child's academic progress and development
Celebrate achievements and identify areas for growth
Ask questions and share any concerns
Learn how you can support your child's learning at home

Movie Night 2026 – A Wonderful Evening Together!

Our Movie Night 2026 was a fantastic celebration of community spirit at St. Andrews International School Samakee! Students, families, and staff gathered for an evening filled with laughter, popcorn, and great entertainment under the night sky.

It was heartwarming to see our school community come together, creating special memories and strengthening the connections that make Samakee such a welcoming place to learn and grow.

A big thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event. We can’t wait for the next one!

Early Years in the Library

Our Early Years students enjoyed a cosy story time in the library, listening carefully as a story was brought to life through engaging reading and illustrations. These sessions help build language skills, imagination, and a love of reading from an early age.

Key Stage 1 - Physical Education

Our Key Stage 1 students are continuing to develop their fundamental movement skills in PE, with a strong focus on physical literacy and building skills for life.

The emphasis is not simply on winning, but on understanding the process, what we are doing, why it matters, and how we improve along the way.

Upper School - Spanish Around the House!

¡Hola familias! Upper school stepped into a new topic: rooms in a house . Students are discovering how to name different spaces and the objects you can find in each one — from "la cocina" to "el dormitorio".

We’re also exploring how to describe where things are using simple location phrases.

Step by step, students are learning how to talk about a room by saying what’s in it and where things are.

Safeguarding Spotlight: Safer Internet Month

This month, we’re joining schools worldwide to promote safe and positive internet use.

What NOT to Share:

Teach your child the "Three P's": they must never share online: Passwords, Phone numbers, and Private details (like their school, address, or travel plans).

The Stranger Rule: Remind them that people online might not be who they say they are. They should never agree to meet up with someone they only know from the internet.

Middle School - The Wizard of Oz Poster Winners

Congratulations to our The Wizard of Oz poster competition winners! The students created fantastic, colourful designs inspired by the much-loved story, showing great creativity and effort. Well done to everyone who took part!
