Our Enterprise Fair: A Celebration of Community Spirit
This morning's Enterprise Fair was a wonderful example of our school community coming together. The energy and support from parents, visitors, staff, and children created a truly special atmosphere that showcased the very best of what we can achieve together. Thank you one and all!
Enterprise Fair 2026
Over the last few weeks, students from across the school have been busy preparing their stalls for this morning’s Enterprise Fair. Each group worked hard to plan and run an activity with the aim of raising as much money as possible.
There was a fantastic range of creative and exciting stalls on offer, and everyone enjoyed a fun and lively morning. A great amount of money was raised through the students’ efforts, and the final total will be announced soon. Well done to everyone involved!
Movie Night Magic 2026 - Save the Date - Friday 13th February!

Reception - Maths Measuring Length
In Reception, the children explored measuring length in a fun and practical way. Working in pairs, they outlined their friend’s body and used counters as a non-standard unit of measurement to find out how long their friend was.
The children carefully counted the counters and recorded their measurements using numbers, for example “33 counters long”. They then came together as a class to compare lengths, talking about who was longer, shorter, or the same length. This engaging activity supported counting, number writing, comparison, and teamwork, and the children were highly focused and enthusiastic throughout.
Middle School - Forest School adventure!
Middle School students loved embarking on a child-initiated adventure during Forest School. They were introduced to loppers and learned how to use this tool safely to cut materials smaller than a 10-baht coin.
With enthusiasm and responsibility, some students chose to cut down bamboo before proudly feeding it to the goats. This hands-on experience encouraged independence, tool safety, and a deeper connection with our farm environment, with learning driven by curiosity, purpose, and real-world action.
Year 5 - Preparing for Enterprise Day this Friday!
Our young entrepreneurs are busy preparing for the Enterprise Fair taking place on Friday 6th February. They will be washing cars and golf carts and selling handmade air fresheners to help make vehicles smell great both inside and out. We look forward to welcoming families and staff to support the students and celebrate their enterprise skills.
Year 6 - Electricity
Our Year 6 students have been developing their understanding of electricity through a series of practical, hands-on projects. After learning the key ideas in class, pupils applied their knowledge by building working models such as dancing robots, burglar alarms and boats.
These activities helped students strengthen their understanding by testing ideas and learning from mistakes. To finish the unit, pupils will design and create their own electrical objects, choosing materials and circuits independently. This approach encourages curiosity, confidence and deeper learning, while making science engaging and meaningful for all learners.
SAS Upper School House TeeBall Tournament
This term, St Andrews Samakee students have been actively engaged in Striking and Fielding Games. While our younger students have been learning new skills, rules and game play, older students have been applying these skills in more competitive situations.
Last week, our Upper School students enjoyed a friendly joint TeeBall match with visiting students from Hua Hin International School. This week, the unit concluded with an exciting end-of-unit House TeeBall Tournament.
Well done to all students who took part, supported their teams, and showed great teamwork and sportsmanship. A special congratulations to a Y6 student, awarded Most Valuable Player.
And congratulations to Nightingale House, this year’s tournament winners!
Safeguarding Spotlight: Safer Internet Month
This month, we’re joining schools worldwide to promote safe and positive internet use. Ask your child what they learn in school about online safety. Why not review your family’s online rules together?
Conduct a "Device Audit" as a Family
Sit down together and list all the devices, apps, and platforms each family member uses. Then review:
Which apps are age-appropriate (remind them that many social media platforms have a minimum age of 13)
What privacy and location settings are enabled
Who can contact them and see their content
What parental controls or monitoring tools are in place
Practical tip: Create a simple chart showing each family member's devices and the agreed rules for each one.
Artist of the Week!
Artist of the Week goes to a Year 6 pupil who worked with incredible creativity and inspiration last week during Mr Doug’s visit for a music extravaganza. She showed her true imagination by creating an amazing art piece to jazz music while blindfolded. Super job!
