Supporting Thailand Flood Victims – Get Involved!
Next week, we have two fantastic opportunities for our school community to come together and support those affected by the recent floods in Thailand.
Mufti Day - Monday 1st December
Children can wear their own clothes instead of school uniform in exchange for a donation of 100BHT. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference to families who have lost so much.
Bake Sale - Wednesday 3rd December
This is where we really need your help! We're encouraging children to get hands-on in the kitchen and bake items to sell at our bake sale. Children who bring in items they have baked themselves will earn House Points – so it's a great chance to develop their skills whilst doing something meaningful.
Why involve your children in the baking?
It teaches them about compassion and helping others in need
They'll develop practical life skills
It gives them a sense of pride and ownership in making a real difference
It's a wonderful opportunity for family time together
Ideas for what to bake:
Cookies or biscuits
Brownies or flapjacks
Cupcakes or muffins
Rice crispy treats (no baking required!)
Please ensure all items are nut-free and clearly labelled with ingredients for allergy information.
Let's show our children that even small actions can have a big impact. Together, we can help families in Thailand rebuild their lives.
