The Countdown Begins! Our New Website is Launching Soon!

We are thrilled to announce that after a year of dedicated effort, our brand-new website is nearing its official launch! This project has been a true labour of love and a testament to global collaboration.

Over the past twelve months, we have worked hand-in-hand with a talented team of skilled website builders and content creators spanning multiple continents. This massive undertaking involved:

Establishing bi-weekly strategic meetings to keep the project on track.
Developing and implementing a seamless new enrollment system.
Gathering fresh, high-quality photos and writing engaging blog content.
Collaborating with our key influencer, Chris Wright, to produce a valuable collection of informative videos.

This extensive work—and so much more behind the scenes—has been focused on creating a more intuitive, informative, and visually stunning digital experience for you.

We are delighted that the collective hard work of so many people is about to come to fruition. Get ready to explore a completely redesigned platform!

Einstein House Event – Relativity Smart Quiz

Our students from Y1 to Y9 absolutely smashed it in the Relativity Smart Game Show! They challenged themselves across Music, Science, Maths, English, and Art. Talk about smart!

EYFS Sports Day

Well done to our youngest members of the school! Nursery through to Year 2 had a great time this morning - Balloon games, a sack race, Happy Birds, a 'pancake' race, hoop games and a mini obstacle race. Lots of great examples of the fundamentals of movement - Agility, Balance and Coordination. Thank you to the staff for organising, supporting and running the events including our Year 7 and Year 8 students.

The Year 1 and Year 2 children enjoyed the finale event - watching their parents and teachers in the annual 'Tug of War' battle! Well done to Year 1 parents and thank you to all parents for the supporting the event.

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s natural to want to step in and solve every challenge for our children. But what if the most powerful support we can offer is… a pause?

Join us for this insightful parent workshop where Dr. Jom will explore how intentional stepping back can help children develop confidence, emotional strength, problem-solving skills, and resilience. Through practical strategies and real-life examples, you’ll learn when to guide, when to step back, and how small pauses can lead to big growth.

Sports Day Year 3 - 9

Date: Friday 21st November

Time: 8.30 am - 12 noon.

A fun Swim Relay gala follows this in the afternoon. This will consist of more leisurely fun house relays in the pool, and the main individual event will take place at the second Swim Gala on 22nd May.

We hope to see as many of you as possible at both of these events

Teaching and Learning Highlights!

EYFS - Deep Space Exploration and Critical Thinking!

The three children were completely engrossed in reading and discussing a non-fiction book with Ms Looksorn. Their conversation ranged over complex topics including gravity, space, planets, stars, solar systems, and magnetic fields. This sustained high level of involvement highlights their intense curiosity and fascination with the world and space. They showed active engagement by asking many questions and trying to make sense of what they were learning from the book, demonstrating strong skills in Creating and Thinking Critically by actively seeking explanations and making links between these big ideas. Way to go, everyone!

Year 5 - Remembrance Day

As part of their World War II topic, Year 5 have been learning about the symbol of the poppy and its importance in remembering those who served during times of war. Tuesday, 11th November, was Remembrance Day in the UK, a time when people pause to reflect on the bravery and sacrifices of the armed forces. The children marked the occasion by reciting a poem, drawing their own poppies and learning about the traditions and values shared across nations in honouring peace and remembrance.

Upper School - Maths Lessons

Throughout Upper school Maths lessons students have been learning some new Maths related games. Which are enhancing their problem solving skills, improving their shape awareness and pattern forming as well as being lots of fun.

Safeguarding Focus: Staying Safe Online — Set Clear Boundaries & Routines

Create a Tech-Free Zone: Keep bedrooms device-free at night. The lack of sleep and unsupervised access are major risks.

Agree on Limits: Establish clear, agreed-upon screen time rules for weekdays and weekends. Use parental controls or built-in device limits to help manage the boundaries.

Awards & Achievements

13U BISAL Football Tournament at SISB NR

On Saturday, 8th November, a young SAS team travelled to SISB NR for their second and final tournament of the season. While they played with intensity, passion and teamwork, they were not strong enough to win their first 2 games, meaning they needed to win the third game to progress further. An enthralling game with a penalty missed and 2 late goals saw a draw. This led to a final game playing for pride and fun with a hard earned 1-0 win to finish positively. A goalkeeper change with the new keeper earning a clean sheet and the goalkeeper playing outfield to get the winning goal created a fitting end.

Improved teamwork and especially passing. Well done, all players, especially younger students, facing bigger and older players!

The U9/U11 Tournament is next at DBS on Saturday, 22nd November.

ISB Swimfest

Well done to all our swimmers who took part on Saturday and Sunday last weekend at the anual ISB Swimfest. Over 800 swimmers throughout the 2 days and some very competitive events.

Lots of new Personal Best times including a heat win for the 9/10 Girls in the Medley Relay. Well done all!

Ballet Success

Congratulations to one of our talented Year 4 students, who won 2nd place in Classical Ballet Duo at the TDO International Dance Competition 2025!
