Dear Samakee Community,
A very successful day at the Intercontinental Hotel, on Saturday at the Education Fair. Lots of interest shown in our small school. Thank you to the staff and parents who helped to make this a great advertsing event for Samakee. In particular, well done to one of our Year 6 students who gave a fantastic performance on stage - a great Ambassador for the school.
Thank you to all the parents who took the time to attend the PTG meeting for International Day planning. We look forward to another meeting next week with many more volunteers.
During this week’s Continued Professional Development session, Miss Alice shared key research and insights from a three-day seminar at Patana School, Developing Independent Writers, led by UK consultants Kim Scott and Jonny Allan. The seminar brought together educators from across Thailand and Southeast Asia, all focused on strengthening approaches to writing.
Miss Alice presented the key learning to St Andrews staff, highlighting the essential preconditions for developing writing in the Early Years. She also explored how we can nurture independent writers across the school through carefully designed learning environments, enabling adult interactions, and rich, purposeful experiences.
We look forward to next week's House event and sponsored penalty shoot-out. Parents are welcome to attend the Alms-Giving on Friday morning, at 8:45am in the Samakee garden.
Wishing you a pleasant weekend.
