September has been centered around the Friendzy catchphrase "We Are One" and our Viking Virtue, Cooperation. Throughout the month, students have learned the importance of working together and supporting one another as a team. Since today was the last Thursday of the month, we were thrilled to recognize one student from each class in grades kindergarten through 8th at this morning’s school mass who embodied our virtue and the spirit of unity! As we move into October, we look forward to exploring our next Friendzy catchphrase, "Listen Up," along with our Viking Virtue, Empathy. We hope that through these monthly activities and lessons, we are helping students foster kindness, build stronger relationships, and contribute to creating a positive school community. We encourage you to continue this language at home to reinforce these important life skills. Thank you for partnering with us to help shape students of good character!
October Key Verses:
“Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.”
Deuteronomy 6:4-5
“Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding.”
Proverbs 2:2
October Goal:
To learn and listen with our whole selves - eyes, ears, heart, and mouth - so that others feel seen, heard, and valued.
