past weeks.
Thank you to all of the parents that joined us to listen to our speaker, Pam Hurwitz, this week. It was wonderful to have her at St. Albert, and her message was well received and needed by many. (Including me!)
Pam’s message, “Be still and know that I am here”, is rooted in us. We, as parents, need to feed ourselves through knowing God’s presence in our daily lives: Seeing God’s presence in the actions of our children, feeling his presence through their smiles and hugs, and hearing God’s presence through their voices.
Pam’s story of reading to her father as he drifts off to sleep at night, is one that many of us can relate to. Reading to our children and tiptoeing out of the room is a daily routine for many. We need to recognize that this is a God given moment in time, that won’t last forever. Cherish that quiet time to see, feel, and hear God’s presence.
The video of all of the “firsts” in our lives are fleeting…our baby’s first cry, first step, first day of school, first time driving, leaving for college, wedding days… They are all gifts from God that don’t last forever. Please, please, please, take the time to enjoy these gifts.

School Principal

VOLUNTEERS/EVENT SAFETY: Thank you to all who have volunteered to help that day! The volunteer slots are now full. We do ask that if you do not have a volunteer role, that you do not attend the event. Any visitors to the school have to check in and check out for safety reasons, and we don’t have the capacity to do that for parents just to participate in the event. Volunteers need to check in at a table outside the gym. While the students are out on the route, they will be monitored by parent volunteers as well as the Graymoor-Devondale Police Department. Thank you for your understanding.
