As we are beginning our Christmas break,I want to reflect on our first half of our school year. Our school year has started off with some changes, many accomplishments, and celebrations. We’ve had some struggles, are growing from them, and are focusing on our continued journey in making St. Albert the best school it can be. We’ve also had huge accomplishments, and a lot to celebrate! I thank all of our faculty, staff, parents and students for their continued teamwork and support. I look forward to working toward our goals together in 2025.
I want to wish all of you a happy, healthy, and safe holiday season. I hope the break will bring some rest, excitement, and mostly some time to see the “sparkle” of the season. My heart is full of gratitude for our community. You, our community, is the “star” on top of the tree.
Have a very Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and I look forward to seeing you in 2025!

Happy New Year, Viking families! This month, our Friendzy lesson, "Bounce Back," focuses on building resilience and practicing perseverance—our Virtue of the Month. Life brings its challenges, but with God's help, we can "bounce back" stronger than before.
Our goal is to help students understand that setbacks are not the end of the road but an opportunity to grow in faith, courage, and determination. We are reminded of this in James 1:12:
"Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him."
Another key verse to guide us this month is Galatians 6:9:
"Let us not grow weary of doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."
Parents, join us in fostering a spirit of perseverance at home! Here’s a simple prayer to share with your children during evening prayers: "Dear Jesus, when life feels hard and we face challenges, help us remember that You are with us. Give us strength to keep trying, courage to trust in Your plan, and the joy of knowing that with You, we can bounce back. Amen."
Let’s encourage one another to keep going, keep growing, and keep trusting in God's love and guidance. Together, we can make 2025 a year of strength and resilience!

2025 Fund a Need Project
This year’s Gala Fund A Need is presented by Stealth Field Hockey! At the November PTO Meeting, the PTO voted on and approved this year’s fund-a-need project, which is installing security laminate to doors and priority windows (as determined by law enforcement professionals) both outside and inside our school and church campus. The laminate is designed to prevent unwelcome entry. It helps keep glass firmly in its frame, delaying intruders and allowing time for police to reach the campus.
Visit VikingGala.org to learn more about the project and how you can help!
