Why Attendance Matters
The foundation for student success begins with consistent attendance. Regular school attendance plays a critical role in your child's academic development.
Each school day provides valuable learning opportunities, and missing even one day can cause students to fall behind. Our dedicated teachers work hard to deliver lessons and activities that build upon one another, and when a student is absent, they may miss out on key concepts and skills. Frequent absences can result in gaps in learning that are difficult to overcome, making it harder for students to stay on track.
Moreover, regular attendance not only supports academic achievement but also helps students develop important life skills such as responsibility, time management, and the ability to work as part of a team.
The Impact of Absences
Academic Performance: Missing school, even for a short time, can result in missed lessons, tests, and assignments. As a result, students may struggle to keep up with their coursework and may require additional support.
Social Development: School is not just about academics. Students also benefit from social interactions and group activities. Absences can limit their ability to form friendships and develop social skills.
Long-Term Success: Studies show that students with regular attendance are more likely to graduate, pursue higher education, and succeed in their future careers.
We ask for your partnership in ensuring your child attends school regularly. Here are some ways you can help:
Prioritize School Attendance: Encourage your child to attend school every day unless they are ill or have an unavoidable situation.
Stay Informed: If your child is absent, please notify the school as soon as possible and arrange for any make-up work.
Support Health and Well-being: Help your child maintain good health by establishing a consistent bedtime routine and ensuring they have a nutritious breakfast each morning.
Communicate with Us: If your child is facing challenges that affect their attendance, please reach out to us. We are here to support your family and work together to find solutions.
We appreciate your understanding of the importance of regular school attendance and are grateful for your continued support in ensuring the success of your child. Together, we can make a positive impact on their education and future.
Thank you for your partnership!

As Catholic parents and educators, we cherish the truth that each child is a precious creation of God, uniquely gifted and wonderfully made. This month, through our Friendzy theme, "Uniquely You," students will celebrate their God-given talents and strengths. Together, we will reflect on how these individual gifts enrich our school community and learn to recognize and affirm the uniqueness of others, just as God does.
Virtue of the Month: Honesty
Honesty is at the heart of who we are as followers of Christ. It calls us to speak the truth, act with integrity, and be authentic in our daily lives. This month, students will explore how honesty builds trust and strengthens relationships, and they will practice making truthful choices, even when it’s not easy.
We encourage families to continue this meaningful conversation at home. Take a moment to share with your child what makes them uniquely wonderful in your eyes and discuss how honesty is a cornerstone of your family’s faith and values.
A Prayer for Uniqueness and Honesty
Dear Lord, Thank You for creating us in Your image, each with our own unique gifts and purpose. Help us to use our talents for good and to live with honesty and integrity. May we always reflect Your love in our words and actions. Amen.

The 6th-grade class is working with Neighborhood Forest to provide free trees to each of our students. We are excited to help our school celebrate Earth Day 2025 by planting trees throughout our community. Parents will follow the link to place an order for a free tree for your child/children. The trees will be delivered to school and the 6th grade will send them home with your child before Earth Day. Neighborhood Forest has all the answers to your questions including what type of tree will be sent and how best to plant your tree. The deadline to order your tree is March 15, 2025.

Due to publication costs, we have made the tough decision for families to purchase their own yearbook(s). You may have received an email from Inter-State asking if you would like to purchase a yearbook for the 2024-2025 school year. If you would like a St. Albert yearbook for this school year, you will need to place your order through Inter-State. You will have a choice between a hardcover ($26.00) or a softcover ($21.00). You will also have the choice of purchasing a yearbook for each child, or one for your family.
You have until March 14th to place your order. Yearbooks will be delivered in May. Click here to order.
*Eighth graders do NOT need to place an order as the school will provide a yearbook
for each eighth-grade student.
